Moira most recently served as the Deputy Assistant Secretaryof State for Digital Strategy at the U.S. Department of State where shedirected and shaped strategies to communicate the top foreign policy messagesof the U.S. government. She transformed the digital infrastructure of the State Department to reachglobal audiences in more than 170 countries and in multiple languages, whileproviding strategic guidance to Department leadership on digital issues. Sheled signature communications efforts around issues ranging from PresidentialSummits to Congressional budget awareness campaigns, including the world-widecommunications effort around President Obama’s Global Entrepreneurship Summit.
Moira has held senior leadershippositions at the State Department, the U.S. Agency for InternationalDevelopment, the Department of Homeland Security while in government. Prior toher government service, Moira was a key leader in advancing the progressivenational security agenda as a founding member of the National Security Network,the communications director of the Belfer Center for Science and InternationalAffairs at Harvard University and as the first communications director for theDemocratic Staff of the House Select Committee on Homeland Security. She is amember of the Council on Foreign Relations.
